B-Loony introduces eco-friendly BalloonGrip™

UK, Chesham-based promotional printer, B-Loony, has launched its latest innovation in the world of party and promotional products, the eco-friendly BalloonGrip™.

Answering the urgent need for an alternative to single use plastic balloon sticks (soon to be banned by the EU), the BalloonGrip™ is made from sustainable raw materials which are fully recyclable. This clever invention could help save thousands of tons of plastic from land fill.

The BalloonGrip™ is an eco-friendly balloon holder made from engineered paper fibreboard, which is suitable for recycling (EN13430) and energy recovery (EN13431).

Easily assembled, the BalloonGrip is perfect for in-store distribution of rubber promotional balloons or for high volume balloon giveaways, to both children and adults. The BalloonGrip™ is currently available in three colourful party designs, plain white, and a natural wood effect.

A huge advantage over the traditional plastic sticks is that the BalloonGrip™ itself can be custom printed for sales promotions with brand logos, marketing messages or even for competitions.

Fresh from celebrating its 40th year in the promotions business in November, B-Loony prints millions of branded balloons each year, used across a huge range of activities: from high street restaurant giveaways, to awareness campaigns, to colourful balloon arches at charity events and new store openings.

This latest product, the BalloonGrip™, shows their constant push for innovation, and marks a key milestone in promoting sustainability as part of their business:

Andy MacInnes, Commercial Director, says:

‘We’re thrilled to be launching BalloonGrip™, our new sustainable balloon holder in January 2019, at the European Trade show, PSI in Dusseldorf. Many of our existing clients have already pledged to reduce their use of single plastics, and with BalloonGrip™ we can offer an affordable, eco-friendly alternative that allows them to continue planning popular branded marketing activities for their customers.’

‘It’s important to remember that our balloons are made of natural rubber so, combined with our BalloonGrip™, you have a new completely sustainable and eco-friendly product.’

It is a common misconception that balloons are made from plastic. In fact, natural rubber balloons are biodegradable, and offer very low cost and popular branding opportunities due to their wide range of stock colours and ability to be customised with logos or bespoke designs.

By introducing the flat-packed cardboard BalloonGrip™ as a partner product to balloons, B-Loony is also offering clients savings in packaging, storage and distribution costs, compared with the previous plastic alternative.
