Pre-Concert Talk: Breaking New Ground: Beethoven's Violin Sonatas

19 Jan 2020 @ Conway Hall

British composer, journalist, and lecturer Robert Hugill returns to Conway Hall to give a free pre-concert talk about the evening's programme.

Breaking new ground: Beethoven's violin sonatas developed from his early works, firmly based on 18th century models to something more developed, representing a real break with the past and culminating in the Kreutzer sonata, the largest and most demanding.
