The New Black serves incredible coffee. Dramatically better than the high street chains.
I've become a regular and now I find Starbucks and the like bitter and unpalatable.
The New Black has opened my eyes to (and my other senses) to how amazing top notch specialty coffee can be.
The smell, the balanced taste (no sugar required), the whole experience is superb.

arranged a pop up event within my lobby area in central london with the New Black Coffee for my occupiers. The coffee tasted great. the barista station looked fantastic. it was very well executed by Harry and Guy. My Barista on the day (Sergio) was also very friendly and attentive to everyone, and my occupiers really loved it. The coffee is well made and tastes delicious + you get a reusable cup each time - all of which makes up for the time it can take to craft your order. The only reason I am putting 4/5 stars is because the app doesn’t let you add syrup shots. I’ve asked the staff multiple times and it’s clear that the app isn’t 100% set-up yet. But it means that in order to use the app for my order I need to be in the shop already so that I can clarify I’d like a syrup shot with my order.

Two star for the coffee, 0% for customer service, while the coffee was great the staff at the Philpot Lane are very unfriendly.
On one occasion tried to order via the app, it failed to work - I went to the shop, was asked to come back in 10 minutes - later I was able to order via app after about 10 minutes but getting there I still had to wait another 5 minutes totally being ignored by the staff.
Got the coffee, bought some drinks & snack - the staff totally absent minded forgot to charge for the snack, his female colleague gave me dirty looks instead of an apology.
To the shop review your teams attitude to customers, this incident happened on the morning of 13/05/2019 btw 7:00 - 8:00 am.

Always great service but the quality of coffee I think isn't the same as when they started out unfortunately. They used to offer a choice of blends and roasts in the beginning plus nicer pastries. Now it has become pretty standardised but I still use them for convenience as they are in my lobby.

The new black coffee were a pleasure to deal with at our event. The coffee was delicious and the staff serving us were so knowledgeable about the brand. One of the things we loved was that the cups and their lids were compostable and so everyone could have a guilt free coffee. Would most definitely recommend them at any event in the future.

Guy got a quote over to me straight away and kept me updated throughout the process. When an issue occurred with the venue he did everything in his power to resolve this - everything was perfect in the end. Great tasting coffee, too!

The New Black Coffee offered 2 Fitzroy Place a welcoming start to the morning, the pop up delivered here received great feedback from our customers and they commented on how friendly the staff were. Sadly due to low footfall in the reception and nature of our offices hosting international companies with hot desk UK presence we could not continue to sustain this concept on both parts however I would highly recommend to other businesses who are looking to bring in a coffee company. Guy was our point of contact and made the on boarding process really straight forward and kept me up to date with any changes and offers.
