Blues De Minuit

We play finger-snappin' swing and super-smooth bossa-nova for some of London's most exclusive events, parties and venues. Our sound sits comfortably in the background, creating the perfect atmosphere for your guests to converse more and stay longer. To do this we keep the evening flowing by not leaving gaps in between songs, play at a volume that doesn't overpower conversation and take up minimal floor space. 

The band are led by drummer Robert Pokorny and percussionist Jason Ribeiro; two hard-working London musicians who wanted to tackle the age-old problem of finding the right music when guests are chatting and socialising. Together with upright-bass and a full-bodied jazz guitar, we deliver a sound that mixes smokey 60's jazz LPs with mellow Latin grooves. We're an instrumental quartet because having a singer can oblige guests to stop and watch, rather than get on with the all-important business of mingling!
